Biography
Mohamed Abou-Donia is currently working as a Professor of Pharmacology & Cancer Biology at the Duke University Basic Science Departments. He obtained his Ph.D., University of California at Berkeley 1967. He also worked as a Professor in Neurobiology, Neurobiology, Basic Science Departments. He was honored in 2004 with the Traditional Fulbright Scholarship. Council for International Exchange of Scholars.
Research Interest
His research interest mainly lies in understanding the basic mechanisms by which chemicals adversely affect the nervous system, which should lead to a better assessment of acute and chronic neurotoxicities and the development of drugs to prevent or treat them. His recent publications include Autoantibodies to nervous system-specific proteins are elevated in sera of flight crew members: biomarkers for nervous system injury and many such sublime ones.
