Silvio De Flora, MD, PhD, was assistant Professor (1966), full Professor and chairman (1975), and Professor emeritus (2012) at the School of Medicine of the University of Genoa (Italy), where he was director for 22 years of the Institute of Hygiene and Preventive Medicine (1986-1998) and of the Department of Health Sciences (1999-2005 and 2010-2012). Author of 460 full length papers, 308 of which available in PubMed. The overall impact factor is 1500. With almost 14,000 citations, the h-index is 58. He published in collaboration with 140 laboratories in European countries, China, Japan, India, New Zealand and USA. Member of the editorial board of 16 international journals. Principal investigator of a number of research projects, 10 of which awarded by the US NIH. He received several honors, among which the award from the Michigan State University (2002), the Sobels Award (Greece, 2005), and dedication of 10th ICMAA (Brazil, 2010).

His research interest was focused on epidemiology and prevention of viral diseases until 1975. Thereafter he investigated several topics related to genomics, environmental mutagenesis and prevention of cancer and other chronic degenerative diseases, including chemoprevention of cancer and modulation of molecular biomarkers

Stefano BONASSI, born on January, 3, 1956 is a Doctor in Biological Sciences - University of Genova and a Specialist in Medical Statistics and Epidemiology - University of Pavia. He is a Faculty for PhD programs in human genetics of the Universidad Autonoma de Barcelona, Barcelona, Spain, and M2E2 International courses of Molecular Epidemiology of Chronic diseases at the Maastricht University, the Netherlands . He is a reviewer of many Journals such as Experimental Research; Mutagenesis; Cancer Epidemiology, Biomarkers & Prevention Et al.

Stefano BONASSI is interested in the use of biomarkers in human population and clinical studies. He studied chromosomal damage in the early stages of carcinogenesis and other chronic diseases. He coordinated the epidemiological part of international projects, such as ESCH on chromosome

Giovanni Pagano graduated in Biological Sciences in 1971 at Naples University and at the International Institute of Genetics and Biophysics in Naples. He served the Italian National Cancer Institute in Naples up to retirement in 2005, with a major focus on environmental toxicology. In recent years GP has collaborated with a number of national and international institutions, and lecturing at several post-graduate courses. The current positions are Research Contractor at Federico II University, and Associate Researcher at the Stazione Zoologica Anton Dohrn. GP authored over 100 publications receiving over 2000 citations; ResearchGate Score 36.63.

Boris A. Katsnelson, born in 1926 (October 20) in Lugansk, Ukraina is the Head of Department of Toxicology and Biological Prophylaxis at the the Ekaterinburg Medical Research Center for Prophylaxis & Health Protection in Industrial Workers. He graduated from Сhelyabinsk State Medical College (Russia) in 1949 as a GP and received postgraduate training in occupational medicine in the same year at the Central Institute for the Postgraduate Medical Education (Moscow). During 1949 – 1954 he worked as an industrial sanitary inspector and occupational health specialist in different state agencies in Chelyabinsk. In 1954 - 1957 he received postgraduate scientific training (as a PhD student) in occupational medicine at the Moscow Institute of Industrial Hygiene and Occupational Diseases of the USSR Academy of Medical Sciences. He recently worked in the Sverdlovsk Research Institute of Industrial Hygiene and Occupational Diseases later on reorganized into the Ekaterinburg Medical Research Center.

Boris A. Katsnelson's research interest includes silicosis; pulmonary particles and nanoparticles clearance and physiologically oriented modeling of the process; toxicology with special interest in combined toxicity & nanotoxicology; occupational exposure limits for fibrogenic and toxic substances; bioprotectors against adverse health effects of occupational/environmental toxic exposures; predisposition to occupational and environmentally conditioned diseases; socioeconomic aspects of occupational and environmental medicine; occupational & environmental epidemiology

Mohamed Abou-Donia is currently working as a Professor of Pharmacology & Cancer Biology at the Duke University Basic Science Departments. He obtained his Ph.D., University of California at Berkeley 1967. He also worked as a Professor in Neurobiology, Neurobiology, Basic Science Departments. He was honored in 2004 with the Traditional Fulbright Scholarship. Council for International Exchange of Scholars.

His research interest mainly lies in understanding the basic mechanisms by which chemicals adversely affect the nervous system, which should lead to a better assessment of acute and chronic neurotoxicities and the development of drugs to prevent or treat them. His recent publications include Autoantibodies to nervous system-specific proteins are elevated in sera of flight crew members: biomarkers for nervous system injury and many such sublime ones.

Diana Anderson holds the Established Chair in Biomedical Sciences at the University of Bradford. She obtained her first degree in the University of Wales and second degrees in the Faculty of Medicine, University of Manchester. She has over 450 peer-reviewed papers, 8 books, has successfully supervised 26 PhDs, and been an Editorial Boards Member of 10 international journals. She has been or is Editor in Chief of a book Series on toxicology for J. Wiley and sons and the Royal Society of Chemistry respectively. She gives key note addresses at various international meetings. She is a consultant for many international organisations, such as the WHO, NATO, TWAS, UNIDO and the OECD.

Eva Cecilie Bonefeld-Jørgensen (ECB-J), Professor in Human Environmental Toxicology and Director of Center for Arctic Health (http://www.cah.au.dk/) has been the head of the research group (1 part-time professor, 1 associated professor, 1 post doc, 4 PhD students, 1 research assistant, 2 research year stud. med, 2 student assistants, 2 technical assistant, 2 thesis research student) for more than 18 years and has more than 15 years of experience in the research area of human toxicology and endocrine disruptors. ECB-J has a formal education as research leader.

Marcelo L. Larramendy, Ph.D., serves as Professor of Molecular Cell Biology at the School of Natural Sciences and Museum (National University of La Plata, Argentina). Appointed Senior Researcher of the National Scientific and Technological Research Council of Argentina. Former Member of the Executive Committee of the Latin American Association of Environmental Mutagenesis, Teratogenesis and Carcinogenesis. Author of more than 470 contributions, including scientific publications, research communications and conferences worldwide. Recipient of several national and international awards. Prof. Larramendy is a regular Lecturer at the international A. Hollaender Courses organized by the IAEMS and former guest scientist at NIH (USA) and University of Helsinki, (Finland). He is expert in Genetic Toxicology and is, or has been, referee for more than 30 international scientific journals. Member of the International Panel of Experts at the International Agency for Research on Cancer (IARC, WHO, Lyon, France) in 2015 for the evaluation of DDT, 2,4-D and Lindane. Presently, Prof. Dr. Larramendy is Head of the Laboratory of Molecular Cytogenetics and Genotoxicology at the UNLP.

Marcelo L. Larramendy’s fields of research interest include genotoxicity, Teratogenesis and Carcinogenesis. His areas of expertise include Molecular Cytogenetcis, Genetic Toxicology and Ecotoxicology.

Kristel Van Calsteren received her medical degree from the Katholieke Universiteit Leuven, Belgium in 2004. In 2009 she successfully defended her PhD thesis which handled different aspects of cancer and cancer treatment during pregnancy. She completed her specialist training in obstetrics and gynaecology in 2011 and her maternal-fetal medicine training in 2012 at the Katholieke Universiteit Leuven, Belgium. Currently she is a member of the staff of feto-maternal medicine at the university hospital Gasthuisberg in Leuven, Belgium. Together with Frédéric Amant, she initiated INCIP: international network on cancer, infertility and pregnancy. She is a member of the ESGO task force on ‘Cancer in pregnancy’.

She has a special interest in high risk maternal medicine and the use of medication in pregnancy (pharmacokinetics, transplacental transfer, toxicity) in pregnancy.

Myung-Haing Cho has completed his Ph.D in Toxicology from the University of California, Davis, USA and his M.S in Vet. Toxicology from Seoul National University, Korea. At present he is serving as a President of Korean Society of Toxicology. He is also a member at the Science and Technology Commission of Food, Agriculture, Forestry and Fisheries,Ministry for Food, Agriculture, Forestry and Fisheries, Korea.

His Research interests are mainly into the field of Toxicology, Veterinary Toxicology, Nanoparticles and Nanotechnology

Vesna Matović has completed her BSc Pharm, University of Belgrade, MSc Pharm in Toxicological chemistry at the University of Belgrade. She has done her PhD Pharm in Toxicological chemistry at the University of Belgrade. She is now serving as a Professor at Department of Toxicology “Akademik Danilo Soldatović” Faculty of Pharmacy, University of Belgrade

Her research interests include: Toxicology and ecotoxicology of metals, Interactions between heavy metals and bioelements, Toxicology and ecotoxicology of persistent organic pollutants, Mechanisms of toxicity, Oxidative stress induction and Toxicology of Mixtures.

María Concepción Gutiérrez Rui has completed her Degree in Chemistry from the Universidad Iberoamericana (1976) and her Masters of Experimental Biology at the UAM (1980). She obtained her Doctorate in Pharmacology in Research Center and Advanced Studies. She is serving as a National level III Investigator.

Friday EUboh completed his PhD from University of Calabar, Calabar, Nigeria, and is presently an Associate Professor of Biochemistry, with Toxicology as his area of research interest. He served as the acting Head of Biochemistry Department in the Department of Biochemistry University of Calabar, Calabar, Nigeria, from 2011 to 2013. He is a member of Nigerian Society of Biochemistry and Molecular Biology, and Institute of Public Analysts of Nigeria. He has more than 60 papers published in reputable Journals, and is a reviewer and Editorial Board Member of many Journals of repute. He has also presented many conference papers, locally and internationally.

Professor at Zhejiang University Institute of Respiratory Diseases, China,Hangzhou Songmin Ying was a Postdoctoral Research Scientist at the University of Oxford • Gray Institute for Radiation Oncology and Biology. He was also a Cancer Research UK China Fellow at the University of Oxford • Weatherall Institute of Molecular Medicine. He obtained his PhD from Technische Universität München Institut für Medizinische Mikrobiologie, Immunologie und Hygiene.

Kannan S completed his M.Sc from Madurai Kamaraj University accompanied with his project on Fortification of silkworm bombyx mori to improve cocoon quality and fecundity using essential amino acids. He obtained his Ph. D. (Zoology) upon Histomorphology Biochemistry and Chemical identification of rat scent glands in relation to rodent pest management: A New light In IPM Programme from Bharathidasan University. He has also obtained another Ph.D in Biotechnology field, upon the topic, Molecular Cloning and Proteomic Analysis of Mouse V2Rx Receptor from Bharathidasan University.

Omid Sabzevari (OS) is a scientist in the field of Mechanistic Toxicology and Pharmacology, Xenobiotics Analysis and Food Safety. OS was listed among Top 1% Scientists of the World according to ESI/ISI in May 2012. OS is a Temporary Adviser of WHO and a scientific member of the Expert Panel on Food Safety, JECFA.
